I am a Registered Social Service Worker practicing Psychotherapy/Counselling, in good standing with the College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers of Ontario
I am fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish to accommodate you to feel most comfortable. I am also a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and a Certified NLP Practitioner (Neuro Linguistic Programming).
I resort to clinical interventions that are humanistic, client centered utilizing evidence-based strategies such as, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Based Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy to help clients tap into their own internal resources, move forward, achieve their goals, and develop deeper connections in life.

We understand your friends and family know you and your situation best; and you trust them. But a therapist is a trained professional that provides you with a safe and confidential environment, with firm boundaries, to help you prioritize your feelings and emotions.
Life can be challenging for all of us, and we have our ‘ups and downs’. It’s just part of life! But if you feel overwhelmed by your feelings and emotions, and you are finding it difficult to function in your daily life, or your thoughts are consuming your mind. You may benefit from seeing a therapist.
Your first session is where we will have an opportunity to get to know each other. You will have an opportunity to ask any questions and share a little more about yourself.
Future sessions are different in nature as we will be exploring specific problems, symptoms and past/present events.
No, you don't need a referral.
Yes, we do accept most insurance companies. However, the client is responsible for submitting the claim.
Therapy is about equipping you with appropriate tools and that can take some time. Everyone is different and There is no simple answer it all depends on your issues, goals and how committed you are. Keep in mind that Psychotherapy is not a quick fix, so don’t expect instant solutions. It requires commitment!
